Constance Stine – Ballet, Pointe
“Ms. Connie” has more than 40 years of professional dance and teaching experience. Early training includes notables Russell Fratto, Jeannette Laurent, Leon Danielion, Maestro Vincenzo Celli, David Howard, Fernando Schaffenburg and Wayne Soulant. As a Nordan FineArts Scholar, she received her BFA in Ballet and Theatre from Texas Christian University, while dancing with the Fort Worth Ballet. Other professional credits include Arizona Ballet Theatre (the first professional company in the state!), Phoenix Ballet, Arizona Metropolitan Ballet and Ballet Arizona.
She began her teaching career in 1972 and has taught and directed residencies in Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Connecticut, W ashington and New York. Ms. Stine opened the Eastside Balletin downtown Mesa, AZ in 1983 and the following year formed the schools pre-professional performing company which celebrated 20 years in 2004-05.
She served as a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University for ten years teaching all levels of ballet, pointe and pedagogy. In 1997 she began duties as the Dance chair at New School for theFor the past 9 years, Ms. Connie has resided in the Seattle, W A area where she has continued her studies at Pacific Northwest Ballet and taught at many local schools including Evergreen Ballet, Issaquah Dance Theatre and Maple Valley School of Ballet.
